Some parents cry! Some fake cry on social media – then do their happy dance when all by themselves! Some don’t try to hide it and simply do their happy dance! What am I referring to? BACK TO SCHOOL! Yep – that crazy time of year that signals Friday night football, set bed times, full days at work without as much interruption, and that the cool weather and bonfires are just around the corner!

How many of you, shows of hands please, get asked by your beloved child to help with homework? Now, honest answers only, how many of you, good portions of the time, have NO IDEA WHAT IS GOING ON? Don’t lie! You and I both know that we stall – distract – deflect attention while we Google that math problem. I get it – I have forgotten what year the war of 1812 was fought in too! (I hope you at least smiled at that) Dissecting sentences? Really – it’s been 35 years…I have slept…had kids…life…you know stuff go on! Our brains can only hold so much and the stuff we don’t use frequently may get pushed out!
